Syzdekistan

Since 1971, the Syzdek’s have been “killing a tree for Christ” in the mountains of Lincoln County. It’s a simple process, really. We get up at o’ dark hundred, drive 150 miles to Caliente, eat breakfast at a greasy spoon, drive into the mountains, spend a hour finding a tree and complaining that there is no snow this year, tie the tree on the roof, drive around on dirt roads in the mountains until it gets dark, and then drive back home. Its a great way to spend eight or ten hours in a car.

Thanks to Hot Pregnant Wife’s creepy work friends who have nothing better to do than hang around with newspaper reporters and other members of the media, this year we will have a reporter from the Las Vegas Sun coming along to observe our trip. It should be interesting for him. Very interesting…
