I have always had an interest in forensics. (By the way, I am smugly satisfied with myself that I never have seen CSI. It holds no interest to me and as a scientist, I unfortunately would focus on on errors and simplifications rather than the plot.) In any case, real life is usually more interesting.
I recently read this report about a suicide in which an unfortunate Australian man had some difficulties committing suicide. It took him three shots with a shotgun. His last shell was fired using his toe to pull the trigger.

I don’t know what’s more frightening. The fact that my husband is looking at suicide stories or that I just read the link while eating a BBQ chicken pizza in my office, completele unfazed by the detailed postmortem description.
Either way, I find humor in the use of “well-nourished” to describe the corpse. I’m not well-versed on my kg to lbs conversions, but I suspect the coroner was trying to spare the family from seeing their loved one labeled as “fat” in the description.
