Syzdekistan

I stayed home today with my bad head cold. I woke up enough to call in at 8:00 A.M. and then slept in until 11:00 A.M. I ate breakfast and then returned to bed and finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I briefly left the house to get a haircut and the stylist remarked on how lousy I looked. Hot Wife had to work a little late so she called me to pick up the kids from day care. I fell asleep and almost didn’t pick them up. I’m almost certainly going to stay home tomorrow. The trip to San Francisco is still on and I am still hoping to run the marathon on Sunday. I’m frustrated and disappointed that I trained so hard for so long and may have to drop out of the race. However, the worst case scenario is that we get a weekend trip to San Francisco and I can always run another marathon.

By the way my work presentation went OK even though I had to talk with a cough drop in my mouth and croaked like a toad. My annual review also went well and I will be seeing a raise on my next paycheck.
