The total rain recorded in Syzdekistan for 2007 was 2.37 inches. Most of the rain events were pretty minor (under 0.25″) except for a series of thunderstorms that started at about 4 AM on August 27. These storms produced a total of 1.02 inches of rain in total and some thunderclaps that had The Princess shaking and speechless from terror and myself running around with a flashlight looking for damage.
We had light snow flurries but no accumulation on January 12, February 28, and March 27. The March 27 snow flurries were interesting because early March was very warm with the earliest ever 90° reading in Las Vegas recorded on March 13. The coldest temperatures that I noticed on my thermometer was 24.1° on January 13 and 22.3° on January 14.
There was a 98 day period with no measurable rainfall between April 16 and July 23 and no measurable rain in the months of January, March, May, June, and October. Interestingly, the official weather station in Las Vegas has never recorded any rain on June 27.
