Tuesday, the home health nurse was scheduled to come to my house at 7:30 AM for my filgrastim shots. I was there with The Boy and The Princess. She checked my pain levels which were almost nil due to the wonders of Tylenol PM taken the night before and Hot Wife force feeding me some acetaminophen at 5:30 AM. Despite Hot Wife saying that I spent part of the night moaning in pain, I felt well-rested and almost pain free. I got three more shots in my stomach and then the nurse asked if she could share a surprise with kids. I said sure, and she brought in a basket with five shih tzu puppies! They were only 11 days old and barely had opened their eyes. It was a great treat for the kids and for me. The nurse was planning to take them to her other patients that day.
