Today’s highest temperature of 82 occurred at 12:56 AM this morning. That was also a record high low temperature yesterday recorded at 11:56 PM. Yesterday’s high was 101 and that concluded a string of warm days: 108 on May 19 and 104 on May 18. Of course, for the temperature to drop, it was very windy last night and today as a cold front passed through. Some places in Nye county had gusts over 90 MPH.
This system has some moisture associated with it so we may see some thunderstorms, showers, and cooler temperatures through the weekend. If we get measurable rain, it will be the first rain I’ve recorded since March 16th.
