Record low maximum temperature set at Las Vegas Saturday…
A strong cold low pressure system brought significantly colder temperatures to the southern Great Basin and Mojave Desert. High temperatures on Saturday were between 25 and 30 degrees colder than thursdays highs. At McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas the high temperature only reached 60 degrees which broke the previous record of 65 degrees set in 1997. The 30 degree drop in high temperatures at Las Vegas was the greatest two day drop in over 30 years. Other cities including Bishop… Barstow/Daggett… and Needles also set records on Saturday.
