The Importance of Turtle Conservation

The New York Times has an excellent article on the importance of turtle conservation.

Yes, that is me, sans beard, surfing a hatchling Trachemys scripta elegans at the Central Park Zoo back in 2002. These glorious animals deserve to be saved because they provide people like me endless hours of amusement.
